The Fariah Academy Abuja is a co-educational British/Nigeria Day School with a lot to offer our adorable scholars in terms of a very equipped and engaging curriculum; innovative and child-centered teaching; fun learning opportunities; a passionate and committed staff team, all in a safe, secure, colorful and positive environment.

TFA is located in Kaura District, along Dubai Market road, by Games Village, Abuja, away from the noise, hustle and bustle of the city of Abuja, an environment conducive to learning. We have provision for adequate security personnel and closed circuit television and alarm systems.

The Head of Schools, Mrs. Rita Chiejina is a professional educator, with academic qualifications as follows:  
  • Master of Art (MA) Degree Gender Studies from the Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia ( 2008)
  • Master of Education (M.ed) Educational Foundations (Guidance and Counseling) from University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, Nigeria.( 1993)
  • Bachelor of Arts Education (B.A.Ed) History and Education (Second class upper division) from  University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, Nigeria ( 1990)

The Early Years Section

Every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfill their potentials. We believe that a child’s experience in the early years has a major impact on their chances in life. For a solid background, as our pupils forge ahead in schooling, we adopt the Jolly Phonics integrated with Montessori for language and diction in our curriculum. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow. At The Fariah Academy, we follow the EYFS framework in doing this we adopted a curriculum which provides children with the best possible start to their schooling by:



In the elementary section, we aim at providing our pupils with the essential foundation for academic pursuit. It is a world where passion for life – long learning experiences is built and every pupil is exposed to learning experiences geared towards developing such a pupil into a highflyers as well as empower them with essential life skills to enable them compete with their peers all over the world in academics a well as in morals. We offer learning sessions that nurture all our pupils to their full potentials as well as assist our pupils in the development of appropriate study skills such as to provide the required foundation at some point for their journey into the High School.

Our curriculum is focused on developing learners who are confident, responsible, innovative, and engaged. Our high school admits students aged 10-16, as we run a combined curriculum of the Nigerian and British elements to prepare our scholars for the Nigerian based examinations, such as the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), and others, the Checkpoint Examinations on completion or year 9 basic education. For the Senior Secondary, we prepare our students to write the West African Senior Secondary Examination (WASSCE), The Nigerian NECO Examination, IGCSE and other Examinations at the completion of year 12.
